Into the wild! One beautiful Saturday wandering South Florida exploring our new surroundings, with no plans other than to have a good time…we find ourselves in the Everglades!
Working during the week, we take our weekends pretty seriously. Always looking for the next adventure, now having a baby in tow, a toddler that can walk more than his daddy likes to!… The fun and trouble we seem to get into are endless.
Stumbling across this place, Everglades Safari Park we drove deep into the Everglades finding a gem. A very kid friendly place that had lots of good information how important it is to preserve the Everglades! After the air-boat ride, there was an alligator informative showing and a nice peaceful trail to walk and enjoy the scenery. With small cafe and souvenir shop it was the perfect place to spend the day!
An air-boat ride, frog legs, seeing more alligators than I wanted to, and some major boat hair later! Our time here was special indeed. We learned so much. But more importantly our love for this special place grew expeditiously when discovered how much is at stake. The earth needs our help to preserve places like this. A place that you wouldn’t normally think of taking a toddler but I would definitely recommend it! For us it was perfect, educational, and so nice to be out in the wild… AND to see other families with kids (even babies) out there being adventurous with their little ones!
Learning more about the ecosystem here and how important it is to preserve it. The more we can learn about the world around us, the more we can help find a solution. As with everything in life… with love anything is possible.
