A quick sail over to Rodney Bay – St. Lucia from Martinique.

Currently anchored in St. Lucia, Rodney Bay and moving swiftly south through the West Indies. We had great wind and a very nice sail. The current was very strong. We adjust heading accordingly to make great headway. On the way, in the middle of the St. Lucia Channel we spotted some whales close by! So beautiful, talk about a nice welcome! We arrived in the bay just after 3pm yesterday. Heading into town for a bit. On our way back to the boat ( Ryan knows how much I love to meet people) so we stopped by a sailboat close to us to say hi. A gentleman by the name of Steve was very nice and had lots of information about the islands we are to visit here soon. What a pleasure it was to meet him and hear his story. We had lots in common being the outdoorsy animals we are. Not only did he give us tons valuable information but he also gave us the key to 2 bikes that are locked up to a palm tree in Grenada to use during our stay there. And he also has a mooring ball there where we are free to grab during our stay for as long as we like. Wow! Grenada being the place where we are to spend some time in till hurricane season passes, this awesome news! And a great unexpected gift! He would take nothing in return and we cant find a way to ever pay him back. So the only way he said is to have fun and enjoy. That WE CAN DO! A BIG thank you to this gentlemen. As I am writing this, he stops by with his beautiful Lucian wife to introduce her to us as we missed her yesterday. They make a great couple, they are newly weds, and getting ready to make the move to land in the UK. He also remind us of some names to of very interesting people we have to go see in Grenada. All this is very magical and in some way falling all into its place under the stars. Now we must sail and the adventure continues…..
