In Boqueron, Puerto Rico for the weekend and it happens to be Gay Pride Fest! Love all~
Today we work.
- 3 different oil changes: Dinghy, Generator, Engine
- Clean boat: doggy hair free, dry time
- And other side stuff like, clean fridge, deck, dog…
On a go get er attitude we finish our projects just before noon. Happy we tackled our projects. Its play time now! We go to land to check things out, but first to Galloway’s and get wifi to clear customs online. Alice the bartender was super nice after she found out that we were not the regular tourists but came by boat ( we get that alot) After chowing down on “Mofongo” a dish you definitely have to try if you go to Galloway’s, if your a cruiser its a place you will stopping by. We go into town. Do some research on water, fuel, food. Water we have to jug by dinghy, fuel is the same. Food, lots to choose from and plenty of mom and pop shacks to get what you need. Distracted, we could feel something was in the air. A celebration. The town was preparing for Gay pride weekend we were forewarned by the locals. We get some groceries, load them up i the dinghy and take back to the boat. I put on my red dress Ryan bought me for my birthday in Dominican Republic and we are heading to the party! Cool, should be some good people watching! Our friend Gary from “Inspiration” comes to hang out. Drinks in hand we go to grab some street food and head out into the action. The music is loud and the people are starting to crowd the streets. Drag queens are on the balconies dancing getting the crowd excited. All the people are smiling and having a good time by the beach. We see a drag show and a couple of bands that rocked it. We had a great time, and the guys were in good spirits! What an awesome night, gay pride Puerto Rico sure knows how to celebrate! Viva!
The reason why there are no pictures since we left Dominican Republic will come into play later…..
